Homework Hotline offers free online tutoring in all subject areas, from kindergarten through 12th grade and the 1st year college or vocational tech students in the DFW school area. However, it is dependent on the availability of volunteers as tutors - our subject matter experts.
Each family/adult will have to fill out the online registration form on this website and provide a copy of his/her child's Texas student badge (if applicable) to determine their qualification of this free tutoring program for underprivileged children only. If your child receives free or reduced lunch at school, you qualify for this program. There are no restrictions for an active student to volunteer as an online tutor to earn community service credits towards graduation from this program.
It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to provide a copy or electronic download of his/her child's curriculum/syllabus from the assigned school "parent portal." A copy of the child's report is helpful to the program by monitoring grade improvements, but not required.
Please call or email the ELPS foundation for additional details and questions. (i.e. Tutor@scspro.org or firstname.lastname@example.org) Each tutoring session requires a 48 hour (2 days) advance notice for coordination of volunteers/tutors.
